Lord Jesus:
We acknowledge you as Sovereign, Savior of the world, Your kingdom everlasting.
So on this day in the country we love we ask that You would:
- give us wisdom and discernment as we vote,
- give us confidence that whatever the outcome Your will is being accomplished,
- help us to remember that You see the end from the beginning –
- and that You work in mysterious, sometimes unfathomable, sometimes (to us) inexplicable ways –
- and our task, once we have done what we see to do, is to trust You -that all things are working together as they should and as You will.
“Be sure of this,” You said, “I am with You always, even to the end of the age.”
And so You are. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
